Anchor: Kindness & Spirituality

Topic: Practicing Gratitude Results in Well-Being & Resiliency

Growth Work (to be completed at home):

1. Decide as individuals & as a household, how to regularly practice gratitude (e.g. specific meal time, journals, gratitude rose, etc.)

SESSION #3:

Anchor: Stress Relief

Topic: Stress In Our Bodies

Activity Materials: Handbook, extra paper, writing materials, stickers

Resources: If you are feeling stressed or overwhelmed, you can call Mesa County Human Resources at (970) 244-1857 and talk to someone about what is going on and how to manage your stress.

Growth Work (to be completed at home):

1. Notice when you're feeling stressed and how it shows up in your body.
2. Practice 1 new way to manage stress this week.

SESSION #4:

Anchor: Self-Regulation

Topic: Character Strengths

Activity Materials: Character Strengths Results, Chart, Handbooks, Writing Materials, Scissors, and Glue Sticks.

1. Decide as individuals & as a household, what your superhero strengths are. Notice how you and others use your strengths this week
2. Design a superhero family/household logo to represent your strengths

SESSION #5:

Anchor: Social Interaction

Topic: Team Work

Activity Materials: Spaghetti Noodles, Marshmallows, Tape, Tool Print Out

1. Decide as individuals & as a household, what tools you'll use to work together as a team. 
2. Notice teamwork being used at school, work, home. How do you fit into team work? How do others fit in?

Anchor: Physical Activity/Stress Relief

Topic: Bouncing Back/Stress Management

Activity Materials: Handbooks, Plain Paper, Writing Materials

1. Identify one strategy you'll use to decrease stress this week
2. Use the Glass/Rubber Ball analogy and choose at least 1-2 rubber balls that you can allow to "bounce" this week
